Aoraki Bound is a 20-day haerenga run in partnership with Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu and Outward Bound.
It includes the physical, task-orientated and intense group focus of Outward Bound, as well as the cultural components of Ngāi Tahu reo, haka, waiata, koorero, poowhiri, waahi tapu and tohu whenua.
We are calling for applications for a Waikato-Tainui whaanau member to attend this course as part of our Sir Robert Te Kotahi Maahuta Memorial Aoraki Bound Scholarship. The 2019 enrolments are now closed.
The scholarship supports one Waikato-Tainui tribal member per year to take part in the Aoraki Bound programme.
