Te Whakakitenga Elections

Every three years our 68 Te Whakakitenga o Waikato marae have the opportunity to elect the two people they want to represent them on the overarching governance board for Waikato-Tainui, Te Whakakitenga o Waikato.

Waikato-Tainui has a rich tapestry of history which pertinent to the tribes of Waikato, Hauraki, Raukawa and Maniapoto all from the time that Tainui waka arrived to Aoteaoroa.

Waikato-Tainui is the organisation that implements the strategies and delivers on the aspirations of Te Arataura in conjunction with Te Whakakitenga o Waikato. This is led by Chief Executive Donna Flavell and the Executive team.
