Waikato-Tainui is a leading tribal organisation responsible for developing and implementing initiatives which improve iwi outcomes in the areas of education and training, employment, tribal preservation, marae development, health and well-being, environmental and resource-management.
Project Management Course Content
This course covers the end-to-end project lifecycle utilising tools, techniques and resources necessary to manage large projects. Throughout the programme, participants will be constantly challenged in practical application of the tools and techniques as well as leadership applications of each, so that each participant ends the programme with the confidence to pursue their professional projects.
Throughout the course, participants will be utilising skills such as stakeholder identification and engagement, estimating, network diagrams, Gantt charts, delegation exercises, project tracking, risk analysis and mitigation along with other applicable tools so that each participant is well prepared for all eventualities throughout the lifecycle of a project.
- Scope out a project
- Create a work breakdown structure
- Create a baseline network plan
- Create a resource chart for a simple project
- Estimate project completion time
- Estimate project budgets
- Successfully close a project
- Evaluate and report on project performance
The venue will be held at the Waikato-Tainui Hopuhopu Grounds in Manu Koorero.
